What: Almost 7 week walk from Melbourne to Brisbane, arriving in Brisbane CBD
When: Thursday 7th September 2023 at 4:30 pm
Where: Queens Gardens, Brisbane CBD
Why: Raising awareness of adverse events following immunisation
Supporters will be gathering in Queens Park Brisbane CBD to welcome Matthew Lawson who has walked from Melbourne to Brisbane to promote vaccine injury awareness after becoming dismayed with online censorship. He left Melbourne on July 17.
Matthew has done this under the flagship of not-for-profit Jab Injuries Global which advocates for those caught with adverse effects following immunisation. His Brisbane finish line welcome is being organised by The People’s Revolution.
“Social media pages and doctors speaking out are being censored and the mainstream media won’t talk about what is happening, so I figured this walk would get the message out and allow others to speak out” Matthew said.
Previous media coverage of his journey include:
Southern Riverina News: “Long Walk brings Matthew to Southern Riverina” https://archive.md/wQJZo
Ipswich News Today: “Human Rights advocate Ipswich bound” https://archive.md/Q4KBs
Per the map, Matthew will arrive into Queens Gardens off Elizabeth Street and head towards the statue. Matthew is available for media interviews.
Notes for editors:
This should not be referred to the as an “anti-vaxxer” event or as having “anti-vaxxers” as it relates to adverse events experienced by those who have gone and received a vaccination.
“Anti-vaxxer” has previously been used to label people who have refused the COVID vaccines. This is also not valid as those refusing this particular vaccine product, especially nurses, have happily received all other vaccines. Refusing a particular vaccine doesn’t make you “anti-vax” in the same way that refusing to buy or drive a particular model of vehicle does not make you “anti-car”.
